To commemorate the first ever "virtual" Global Pride, 4ZZZ Zed Digital is programming six hours of music by diverse in gender and sexuality artists/performers, plus selected recent interviews from 4ZZZ 102.1FM's "Dykes on Mykes" and "Queer Radio" - the world's longest continuously running diverse in gender and sexuality radio programs, having been on the air since September 1992 and growing out of the earlier "Gaywaves" collective which commenced broadcasting on 4ZZZ 102.1FM in 1983

Global Pride 2020 celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first Pride Rally held one year after the historic Stonewal Riots which began on June 28 1969. Also, 2020 commemorates 30 years since the founding of the Brisbane Pride Festival, originally held in June (now taking placing in Sepetember since 2012).
